The Good Doctor gets a spin-off series

After five successful seasons, The Good Doctor expands its universe and gets its first derivative series.

The series, which tells the story of a surgeon with autism who

works in a renowned hospital, will now have The Good Lawyer

which will have the perspective of neurodivergence in another professional area.

According to recent reports, the spin-off is expected to premiere

only in 2023 or 2024, as it still needs its characters to be introduced in the main series first.

Two of the protagonists of The Good Lawyer will participate in one of the episodes

of the sixth season of The Good Doctor, which premieres in October in the United States.

Named Joni and Janet, the characters are still in the casting process. In the episode, Doctor

Shaun Murphy must seek out the two after he gets into legal trouble.

Showrunners David Shore and Liz Friedman wrote the script themselves.
