Throughout 2022, it has been clear that Nicki Minaj has big things planned.

She started February with the release of her single 'Do We Have A Problem'

with Lil Baby. Then, a week later, the duo returned with 'Bussin'. In March, she announced the return of Queen Radio and she and Fivio teamed up for 'We Go Up'.

Now, after the announcement of her upcoming documentary and that she will r

eceive the Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs, Nicki is back with a new single.

The song is called 'Super Freaky Girl' and is a Rick James sample, which definitely has

hit potential. It has arrived amidst her growing popularity on TikTok and the accompanying dance challenge created by user @lorddroman.

Minaj is scheduled to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2022 MTV Video Music

Awards, broadcast live from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, and she is also scheduled to perform on the

show for the first time since 2018. Minaj is the fourth rapper to receive the honor, following LL Cool J (1997), Kanye

West (2015) and Missy Elliott (2019). Beastie Boys, who started as a rap trio before turning alternative, were honored in 1998.

Minaj is also a VMA nominee this year for best hip-hop for "Do We Have a Problem," featuring Lil Baby.
