Nicki Minaj's Husband May Have Been Convicted of Crime He Didn't Commit
Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty may have scored a small victory yet over a charge from the past.
Kenneth was convicted of attempted first-degree rape in 1995, from 18 to 54 months in prison, but spent four years in jail.
Last July, he was sentenced to a year under house arrest, as well as three years probation and a $50,000 fine for failing to register as a sex offender in California.
Petty has always denied involvement with the girl, and now, according to his attorney Tyrone
Blackburn, he may be serving time for a crime he did not commit. The woman, identified as
Jennifer Hough, who accused Kenneth of rape in 1994 when she was 16, seems to admit that she was lying about him.
In a new video call interview, the alleged victim admitted that she was 'pressured to press
charges against him' at the time. She also said that she wanted to drop the charges against Kenneth.
"I said I wanted to drop the charges because I made a mistake. I was young," she said during the interview.
