Miley Cyrus registers NFTs and prepares to enter the metaverse

Miley Cyrus is the latest artist to enter the universe of NFTs

- non-fungible tokens - which are 3D reproductions of various

objects to be used in the virtual environment. The singer

has registered two trademarks related to rare objects in the metaverse.

On August 16, Cyrus filed two trademark applications

with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)

for 'MILEY' and 'MILEY CYRUS', according

to Mike Kondoudis, an attorney specializing in NFT and metaverse trademarks.

Cyrus' trademarks, registered under serial

numbers 97551201 and 97551195, suggest

plans to launch downloadable virtual goods that include:

exclusive digital goods (clothing, jewelry, eyewear, shoes

handbags, toys), video game equipment, virtual characters, exclusive

concert credentials, and more, according to the filings shown on Twitter.
