Generation Z and Millennials may be the most wellness-conscious generations, fueling the reinvention
of post-pandemic culture when it comes to work. But they are also suffering from a plethora of mental health
issues, many caused by the pandemic. As this new generation enters the workforce, employers need to be ready to provide adequate mental health benefits to accommodate their needs.
One of the most advanced innovations supporting young employees is the Born This Way Foundation, co-founded
by Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta. If your company does not prioritize mental
health, insist mother and daughter, you may miss out on Generation Z and Millennials' talent.
Born This Way Foundation supports the mental health of young people-especially the BIPOC (acronym for black, indigenous, and people of color)
community by working to build a kinder working world. "I came to the foundation with a solid business background and that's why my daughter asked
me to work with her, because I understand corporate America," says Germanotta. "I was a product of the
workplace cultures of the 1980s and 1990s-one of those chained to the desk for whom cumulative stress was horrible."
