A video in which King Charles III appears to ask an official to remove pens from a table has

gone viral on social media. The footage shows the monarch gesturing on two occasions

for a royal attendant to remove a tray of pens during his

proclamation ceremony last Saturday morning (10) at St. James's Palace

You can't hear exactly what the king says, but right after his speech at the ceremony that made

him official as monarch of the United Kingdom, Charles sits down on

a chair, picks up a pen, and begins to sign his oath. Seconds later, he signals to an assistant to remove the objects, which are then removed.
