If you think losing Iron Man and Black Widow in one fell swoop was painful enough, wait until you find out Kevin

Feige's original plans. Directors of Avengers: Ultimatum (2019), brothers

Anthony and Joe Russo have revealed that Feige suggested killing off ALL of the original Avengers in the feature.

Speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via Comic Book), Joe Russo explains:

"There were a lot of rumors about who was going to die. Kevin even suggested at one point taking all the classic

heroes out of the picture. But we thought that was too aggressive. The audience couldn't stand it.

Just to remind you, the classic Avengers are, of course, Chris Evans' Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Jeremy

Renner as Hawkeye, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and, of course, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson as Iron Man and Black Widow.

The latter two sacrifice themselves to save Earth from the attack of

Thanos (Josh Brolin). We just won't try to argue here which of the two deaths was more heartfelt.
