Kendall Jenner took part in the "On Purpose" podcast this week, by guru and former
monk Jay Shetty, and opened up about the gossip that the media constantly reports
about her family. For the model, the many things that are said about her and the Kardashian-Jenner clan are very unfair and it upsets her.
Kendall feels that the lies cause the public to have an inaccurate perception of her, and this sometimes affects her.
"There are so many false narratives [about us]. A lot of people think they know you when
they don't know half of what you are. It can seem very unfair because I'm not like that.
Sometimes that affects me. But then I look in the mirror and say to myself, 'I know who I am, so what else matters? Everything else is just noise," says Kendall.
Jenner, who recently reconciled with boyfriend Devin Booker, also said that at one point she felt too overwhelmed with work, and that's when she decided to prioritize her life.
"When I was younger, I decided I wanted to be a model. I didn't stop until I was 24, and then I thought, 'Okay, I guess
I need to take a step back. There was a core five years where I was extremely overwhelmed, I wasn't very happy.
I felt like I was saying yes to everything because I felt so grateful to be in the position I was in," she confesses.
