In the entertainment industry, one thing that almost every successful person will tell a newcomer is that they need to be threshed.
If the person is sentimental or overly sensitive to criticism, these aspiring artists may have a hard
time adjusting, but Mike Dean has spent enough time to be one of the best when it comes to this subject
The legendary producer has worked with artists considered the best in the industry, and during his conversation with Nile Rodgers
for Apple 1's Deep Hidden Meaning Radio, he used his experiences with Beyoncé and Kanye West as examples of artists who can alter productions without warning.
They were talking about artists not giving them much direction while asking producers to
"do things" as they pleased, only to make major changes in the final product.
"I get that from everybody, especially Beyoncé, actually. 'What do you want?' 'Just Mike Dean,'" Dean said.
"And they can take all of that or 50 percent or 80 percent of that. I'm rattlesnake, so that doesn't bother me, what they like what I've done, they can use."
