Olivia Newton-John's romantic partner in Grease: In the Time of Brillantine (1978), John Travolta went to social networks to mourn the death of his 

colleague on Monday (8). In a post with a photo of the actress, the star stressed his affection for his friend and emphasized her importance to society.

"My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact has been incredible. I love you so much. We will see each other along

this road and we will all be together again. Yours, from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!", wrote Travolta.

The British actress and singer was 73 years old and passed away at a ranch in Southern California, surrounded by friends and family, her husband John 

Easterling said. In addition to starring in Grease alongside Travolta, Olivia also had a successful career in music, with Physical, released in 1981, being her biggest hit.

Olivia was diagnosed with breast cancer with metastasis to her sacrum bone in 2018, after having overcome

other tumors in 1992 and 2015. In 2019, the singer was awarded the title of Honorary Dame Commander 

of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II of England for her involvement in the fight against cancer and contribution to the arts.
