High School Musical reveals about Olivia Rodrigo's future in the production

Olivia Rodrigo continues to rock her music career and we couldn't be happier for her! But does

this mean she will be leaving High School Musical: The Musical: The Series?

In an exclusive interview with E! News, series creator Tim Federle commented on Olivia's fame and revealed how this influences her presence in season four.

"I'm taking it one season at a time," Tim said about the future of HSMTMTS. "Disney confirmed the

fourth season very quickly. We haven't even aired the third one all the way through yet."

While talking about Olivia, who won the Best New Artist award at the Grammys

Tim said that her character Nini Sazalar-Roberts will appear in season three, but in fewer scenes. So, will she be back for season four?

"I haven't talked about it yet. Anyone who has the Internet knows that Olivia had a great year and she deserves it.

I think if I were her, I would want to explore more of the music industry - which has welcomed her in such a great way," he commented.

Because of this, Tim stated that HSMTMTS will "explore new stories with our original Wildcats." Still, he doesn't rule out Olivia's participation in the future, adding, "But never say never."
