The series Everybody Hates Chris (2001), is to get an animated version. According to Deadline, the reboot will

be scripted by Sanjay Shah (South Park) and has been ordered by MTV Entertainment Studios for Paramount Plus. 

Chris Rock will continue as producer and narrator of the series. Also executive producing is Grant Gish, MTV's head of adult animation.

There is no information yet on the voice cast and the synopsis follows that of the original series, where we see stories inspired by the adolescence of comedian Chris Rock and his family.

big hit in our growing arsenal of iconic adult animation that includes hit series like South Park," said Chris McCarthy, CEO of Paramount.

Also according to Deadline the producers have been aiming for a reboot of Everybody Hates Chris for almost a year and a half now. The original series 

was on the air for four seasons and is a success among Brazilian audiences who have been following the program on Record since 2006.
