After months of adopting neutral pronouns, Demi Lovato has returned to identifying with the female gender.

Last year, the singer declared herself as non-binary, that is, neither female nor male. In an interview with the podcast "Spout" on Tuesday (2), she revealed that she made the decision because she is "a very fluid person."

The owner of the hit "SKIN OF MY TEETH" explained that she was not feeling balanced with her masculine and

feminine energy. "So that when I was faced with the choice of going into a bathroom and saying 'women' and '

men,' I didn't feel like there was a bathroom for me because I didn't necessarily feel like a woman," she recounted.

In her Instagram bio, Demi posted that she responds the same way to the pronouns "they," "she," and "her," in free translation.

"It's just feeling human at its core. Recently, I've been feeling more feminine, and so I adopted it again," she explains.

She also took the opportunity to comment on the situations of confusion with pronouns and said that "nobody is perfect.

"Everyone gets confused with pronouns at some point, especially when they are learning. It's all a matter of respect", she reflects.
