Some fans of Ariana Grande may not be happy with the hiatus of the singer, who has not released

new music since last year. Dedicating herself to the film adaptation of the musical "Wicked", the

artist has given a sharp response to followers who are demanding new music on social networks.

Interacting with the TikTok audience, the owner of the album "Positions" replied to a comment asking her to "remember

she used to be a singer. The star wrote that she never felt more like a singer as working on "Wicked."

"In fact, I've never felt more at home with my voice," Ariana said.

Late last year, the artist found out that she has been approved to audition for the film based on

the Broadway classic for theaters, which will be directed by Jon M. Chu. In addition to Ariana, actress Cynthia Erivo is confirmed in the cast.

She was chosen among several names to play Glinda in "Wicked". The role was longed for by several actresses

including renowned Broadway names. In 2019, Idina Menzel, the Elphaba from the original staging of the show, said that "Ariana really wanted to do the movie."
