Aquaman 2 and Shazam! Fury of the Gods postponed again

Warner revealed on Wednesday (24) that will postpone again Aquaman and the

Last Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. The feature film with Jason Momoa

previously scheduled to debut in March next year, will now hit theaters on December

25, 2023. David F. Sandberg's new film, previously scheduled for December 2022, will now open on March 17, 2023.

According to Deadline, the change came about because the King of Atlantis movie will need

to undergo a longer reshooting period. As a result, the Shazam! sequel will fill the date previously reserved for The Lost Kingdom.

In addition, two other productions previously exclusive to HBO Max have had their

releases changed. House Party, a reboot of A Busted Party, and Evil

Dead Rise will now be released in theaters on December 9, 2022 and April 21, 2023, respectively, before going to streaming.

Other 2023 releases from the studio will be The Nun 2 (September 8) and the new adaptation of

Stephen King's The Vampire Hour, which has left Warner's calendar but should still be released next year.
