Anne Heche was trapped in her vehicle for 45 minutes until she was rescued by the Fire
Department on August 5. She was driving in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles
when she crashed her blue Mini Cooper into the garage of an apartment complex.
According to NBC4, official records from the Fire Department point out that because of
the flames, it took professionals at least twenty minutes before they could reach
the car and, consequently, Anne Heche. "Given the heavy fire
and smoke conditions, it was not possible to clearly see the
vehicle or access it," said LAFD Deputy Chief Richard Fields.
