Actress Anne Heche, 53, passed away this Friday afternoon (12), following 

a car accident. The artist was in a coma, and was recently taken off life support.

The information comes from the British vehicle The Guardian.

The American actress and director was known for works such as the film 

"Seven Days, Seven Nights" (1998) and series such as "Men in Trees" (2006-2008); "Hung" (2009-2011) and "Save Me" (2013).

Her most recent work is the military drama series "The Brave," which premiered in September 2017 and aired until January 2018.

Anne Heche was in a car accident last Friday, August 5. The artist has

been hospitalized in serious condition since then, with injuries that included 

"significant lung injury requiring mechanical ventilation" and "burns requiring surgical intervention."
