Toyotaro reveals learning from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero

Known for his work as an artist and screenwriter for Dragon Ball Super, Toyotaro had the opportunity to closely follow the entire pre-production of the new feature film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

In an interview with the franchise’s official website, he commented on his learning.

“I went to watch it several times to learn as much as possible about Sensei’s (Akira Toriyama) way of thinking and how he tells a story. I find that aspect fascinating.”

He explained.

“The way the narrative is put together is very interesting. The humor and timing of each joke are great. I feel like I still have a lot to learn if I want to write like that. So, I think my favorite part of the movie is how much I learned throughout the process.”
